I am 51 years old and have just finished vision therapy with Dr. Martin.  I am a golfer and was having difficulties with depth perception, which meant I did not know exactly where the flag was located in relationship to the front of the green.  (Won't even mention my difficulties in driving and judging how far the car in front of me was to my front bumper!)  It has made such a difference in my day-to-day activities.  Never realized how much my "weak" eye affected all aspects of my life.  I only wish I had done this sooner.

I have never written a letter like this before, but I wanted to take the time to tell you what a truly pleasant experience I had at Ocean Optics last week.  I believe I had the most thorough eye exam I have ever had anywhere, and the general information you shared with me about eye care and eye disease was nice to hear.  No other doctor has ever taken the time to share with me like you did.

Also, thank you for telling me more about glaucoma, and how critical it is to protect your eyes from the sun.  I can see I will be getting plenty of use out of my new sunglasses.  You have great people to help you find just what you want.

I want to thank Dr. Martin and her wonderful staff for eliminating glasses from my life.  I mentioned to Dr. Martin at her Grand Opening that I was due for an eye exam.  I stated that I disliked wearing glasses.  She asked a very important question "Why did I wear glasses?" since I could not answer I knew I needed to schedule my appointment on the spot.  After a very thorough eye exam Dr. Martin explained that my eyes were not working together causing my poor vision.  After 16 Vision Therapy sessions I am now free of glasses.  Thank you Dr. Martin for getting me to see the light again.
