Eye Exams:
At Ocean Optics, Dr. Martin provides thorough comprehensive eye examinations.  The vision exam  includes determining your eyeglasses and/or contact lens prescription.  In addition,  an evaluation of the health of the front and back of the eye is completed.  Our doctor is able to diagnose eye diseases, as well as diseases of the body, including hypertension and diabetes—just based on your eye health findings.   Furthermore, Dr. Martin can help manage glaucoma and other eye conditions. Contact Lenses:
Our doctor performs professional contact lens fittings of all types, and our office is able to fill contact lens prescription orders.  We offer single vision, multi focal/progressive, toric, colored, specialty fit, gas permeable, and mono-vision contact lenses to accommodate your own personal lifestyle needs.

LASIK Consultations:
Are you a candidate for laser vision correction?  Dr. Martin will determine if LASIK is right for you during a personalized consultation visit.  In addition to verifying your prescription and evaluating the health of your eyes, the doctor will perform special testing and measurements.  Our office handles your pre and post-op care and has a professional relationship with the best surgical centers in the area.

Vision Therapy:

What is vision therapy?

Vision therapy is a great alternative or supplement to glasses or contact lenses, and can correct a wide variety of vision disorders from a fast-progressing prescription, to a "lazy eye", to limited peripheral vision or depth perception.  It can even help with eye-hand coordination, overall school performance, computer vision and eye comfort, and directionality (knowing your rights and lefts!)

In therapy sessions, Dr. Martin works with the patient one-on-one, and the sessions are individually tailored to the patient and his or her needs.  Therapy sessions include visual tasks performed under controlled conditions.  We use lenses, prisms, equipment and a wide variety of activities to create different visual environments.

During her schooling, Dr. Martin completed an internship in children's vision and vision therapy, and enjoys offering this unique alternative to her patients.  She is also a member of COVD, the College of Vision Development, which focuses on behavioral optometry and therapy techniques.

Eyeglasses:
We carry an array of frames to choose from, including Ronit Furst™ and Kata™ which are exclusive to our optical.   Of the more popular lines that we have to choose from are  Prada, Fendi™, Versace™, Silhouette™, Tommy Bahama™, Nike™ (ask about the interchangeable lenses), Gucci™, Swarovski™, Caviar™, Cazal™, Coach™, Costa Del Mar™, Betsey Johnson, Oakley™, and EZ Clip™.  A selected group of frames also offer a polarized sunclip to protect your eyes from the harmful UV rays.

Prescription Sunglasses:
Everyone who lives in  South Florida knows how bright the sun is!  Protection from harmful UV rays is crucial for good ocular health and comfort.  Not only does Ocean Optics carry the latest in fashion sunglasses, but all of our styles are available with prescription lenses.  We also carry the latest technology... polarized lenses!  Polarized lenses reduce glare and are perfect for driving, boating, and all water sports. DOGGLES:

Delray is a dog-friendly community, and at Ocean Optics, we care about your dog, too.  Doggles is our line of doggie sunglasses!  Protect your pet's eyes from harmful UV rays, which can lead to cataracts and decreased vision.  These glasses block 100% UV and are comfortable and stylish.  Bring your dog into the optical and we will be happy to fit them with the right size and color.  Your pet will love them!
